Nord Security Expands ISO 27001 Coverage Across Business Suite

Nord Security has secured independent confirmation that four of its enterprise security products meet one of the world's most demanding information security benchmarks. NordLayer and NordPass have renewed their ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, while two newer additions to the company's business suite - NordLayer Intelligence by NordStellar and NordLayer Browser - have earned the certification for the first time. The audits, conducted by certification body SERTIKA, found no nonconformities across any of the four products.

What ISO 27001 Actually Verifies

ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading international standard for information security management systems, or ISMS. Rather than certifying a single product feature, it evaluates how an organization builds, documents, and continuously improves the processes that protect data. The standard is built around three pillars: confidentiality, ensuring information is accessible only to those authorized to see it; integrity, ensuring data remains accurate and unaltered; and availability, ensuring systems and information remain accessible when needed. Certification requires an external audit, and it must be renewed periodically to confirm the management system keeps pace with new risks, tools, and regulatory expectations. For a business customer evaluating a vendor, this kind of certification offers a tangible way to assess whether a company treats security as a structural discipline rather than a marketing claim.

A Broader Portfolio Under Scrutiny

NordLayer, the company's network security platform aimed at businesses, and NordPass, its password manager for organizational use, have carried ISO 27001 certification since 2021 and have renewed it annually since. The newly certified products reflect how the business suite has grown beyond network access and credential management. NordLayer Intelligence by NordStellar is a threat exposure management platform designed to help organizations identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited. NordLayer Browser is an enterprise browser, a category that has gained relevance as organizations look to control how employees interact with web-based applications and data, particularly in hybrid and remote work environments where the browser has become a primary point of exposure.

"The renewed ISO 27001 certification, now covering more of our products than ever, reflects how deeply security is embedded in everything we build," said Andrius Buinovskis, VP of product strategy at NordLayer. "As the product portfolio continues to grow, our clients can trust that every solution will be held to the highest security standards, ensuring that their data is in safe hands."

Why This Matters for Enterprise Buyers

Certification audits of this kind do more than confirm compliance; they surface recommendations that push organizations toward stronger practices even when no formal nonconformity is found, which was the outcome across all four products in this round. For companies selecting security tools, this distinction matters because the market for workplace cybersecurity software is crowded with products that promise protection but offer little external verification. An audited ISMS gives procurement and compliance teams a documented basis for trust, which is increasingly important as regulators in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere tighten expectations around data governance and vendor accountability.

The business suite now spans five products in total, with the recent addition of NordLayer AI Scout, an AI visibility and security tool introduced in October 2026 to help organizations monitor how artificial intelligence tools are used across their networks. As AI adoption inside companies accelerates, visibility into that usage is becoming as important a security concern as traditional network defense, and it signals where the company expects enterprise risk to concentrate next.
